In the long hallway from the gymnasium to the weight room at Mount Saint Joseph Academy here, rows of pictures of smiling boys with 1970s shag haircuts line the walls. They are veterans of the Shrine Maple Sugar Game, the annual gridiron grudge match between New Hampshire and Vermont, and now a dusty reminder of a bygone era when football was a vital part of Vermont athletics.
